Latisse

Our optometric Practice now offers Latisse

Latisse for lashes is the eye care equivalent of teeth whitening. It’s a safe and easy daily regimen that produces an aesthetically enhanced look in a matter of weeks.

Latisse before and afterEyelashes frame your eyes, and thicker, darker, longer lashes are a universal sign of beauty. You shouldn’t have to look in the mirror and see hypotrichosis – the technical term for inadequate eyelashes. Latisse can help your eyelashes grow.

How does Latisse work?

Hair, including those little lashes that line your lids, has a unique growth pattern. There are growth phases and latent phases. Latisse increases the amount of time the hairs grow during the eyelash growth cycle, allowing each hair to grow longer. Plus, Latisse increases the number of hairs that grow during that period.

The result: longer, thicker eyelashes!

The process is straightforward. You apply the Latisse solution to the base of your upper eyelashes each evening. That’s it.

Full eyelash potential is only reached after 16 weeks of consistent application, but individuals usually begin to notice improvement within the first 4 weeks of using Latisse.

Sounds too good to be true. What are the cons?

Latisse is generally safe and effective. One of the only common side effects is itchy or red eyes. Occasionally, other negative effects do occur, like darkening eye color, hair growth in other areas, darkening of eyelid skin, and very rarely, eye inflammation or infections. If you notice a reaction, you can always choose to stop Latisse treatment.
